Corporate Chic: DIY Wrap Dress

Greetings Fashion Friends,

I’m so glad that the weekend is here. Working in Corporate America; it is always my goal to be fashionable but appropriate. With this being said, by no means am I declaring a move toward fashionable conservatism. LOL. You know that I will always keep things bold to some degree. But appropriateness is something that I always make sure to keep in mind when I take that final look in the mirror prior to walking out the door. Fashion appropriateness is key to being fashionably fabulous. A fashionably fabulous woman knows not only what is appropriate but when.
Some of my favorite workforce wardrobe brands are Jones New York, Ann Taylor, J. Crew, Banana Republic and of course none other than Ms. Diane Von Furstenberg–the queen of the wrap dress herself. When I first stumbled upon this knit fabric the first thing that came to mind was a DVF inspired wrap dress. A sleeveless one none the less. I mean I do live in Florida. But seriously, who doesn’t love a classic wrap dress right. I figured I could always throw a white button down underneath if needed. I made this dress using Vogue pattern V8379. Be Bold. Be Fabulous. Be You!
