Hot Pants: My Favorite DIY Project

When I made these palazzo pants last year, I never realized just how fashionably fabulous they were at the time. While rummaging through my closet for a quick trip to Miami— I ran into these fabulous beauties and stuffed them deep inside my poorly packed luggage. I pulled them out this morning in hopes to have a bright and shinny day in the 305. Well…. the day started out nothing short of beautiful. When you wake-up to a view like this it’s really hard to start off on less than fabulous beginnings.

I met some awesome fellow fashion bloggers today at the Style Bloggers of Color annual fashion blogger conference. I’m always overly ecstatic when I discover a new blog to read. Here are a couple looks I was able to photograph today rocking these awesome vintage DIY Italian wool blend trousers. I used vintage Butterick 4128 pattern for them. I wanted them to fit on the looser side so I cut one size up to get that baggy skirt-like fit.
Gotta love the weird reflection in my left eye. LOL.

I ended my evening with a fabulous dinner at The River Seafood & Oyster Bar. Oh boy…what an awesome experience. The conch salad and oysters were oh si bon!
