No Really! No Alternations Needed. Long goes the days where I’d pack up all of my pants that were too long or too loose in the waist and make that frequent trip to my local favorite alterations lady. Bless her heart. She is soooo sweet. I am officially my own alterations shop. I’m screaming a huge sigh of relief. I now have the patience and the knowledge to make my own alterations although I’ve been sewing for a little over a year now. I’m FREE. I think my fellow sewists/seamstresses can relate.

I ran into these high waisted orange palazzo pants a few days ago when I went shopping. Yup…shopping in my own closet (which is so out of control, but that’s for another post). It took me all of 10 minutes to do the necessary alterations. I promise you they were probably a good 50 inches dragging on the ground (I’m over exaggerating obviously), but you get the point. Being of petite stature (I stand only at 5’4″ tall), us petite women can have an extremely difficult time finding clothes to fit our small frames. So I’m going to celebrate next weekend….celebrate my new found freedom. I wore these pants this weekend while in Miami attending the Style Bloggers of Color conference. If you haven’t realized….color and prints are definitely my thing. I have no sense of shyness when it comes to being BOLD and making a statement. I mean, the Fashionably Fabulous slogan is….Be Bold.  I met a fabulous and inspiring group of ladies this weekend. I’m so grateful to have met each and everyone of them. I learned so much from each of them. I’m totally inspired.
