I was recently contacted by the good folks over at One Kings Lane, the home decor retailer to take part in their Reflect Your Style campaign. A style & decor project that taps the creative talents of style bloggers to come up with a decor concept that incorporates many One Kings Lane decor elements. The focal element being a vanity mirror. With a love for interior design, I couldn’t turn down the creative opportunity. I chose earth tones because it helps to create a more natural aesthetic to the space, allowing you to easily accessorize with color. My curated list of items reflects my modern, eclectic and transitional interior design style.With earth-toned monochrome elements, I would go with a slightly bolder wall color choice of course. You know I have to incorporate color somewhere right? LOL.
- Wall Mirror: I chose this mirror for its mid-century modern design. It can work with more traditional pieces or modern pieces like many of the elements chosen for my mood board. - Desk: Certainly wood elements gives off a more rustic interior style choice. However, the wood finish, clean lines and metal legs provides a great balance of a rustic and modern element combination. –Alba X-Leg Desk, Walnut $629-
- Stool: A more modern selection. The circular seat compliments the circular shape within the mirror as well as the neutral tones of the wood. The adjustable height was a perfect fit for the setting. -Howell Stool,$349-

- Book: As a fan of the Christian Dior brand, how fitting is it to accentuate your vanity space with this Dior Glamour by Mark Shaw book? Dior is certainly one of my favorite luxury beauty brands. -Dior Glamour, $80-
- Pendent Light: The key to having a great vanity space is none other than lighting. Proper lighting is so important during makeup application. This pendant would be installed directly over the vanity area. -Hawley 1-Light Pendant, Medium Oak $199-
