Certainly there is no excuse needed to rock a killer red lip. But just in case you needed one—it’s that time of the year which calls for a little glitz and glamour and nothing says glitz like sequin and glamour like a killer red lip. I have a couple go-to favorites for the holiday season. And yes, as a dark-skinned woman—I live for a red lip. Anyone can pull off a red lip, so don’t let anyone else tell you otherwise. The key is finding the right shade and texture. I opt for mostly orange undertones when I want to go bold and blue undertones for a more richer and subtle red. I like mattes over a glossy finish–but in the end it’s all about the final look that I’m trying to achieve. What are some of your favorite holiday reds?
