American Dreamers: Tampa Bay Parenting Feature

Hey Fabulous-- I recently did a photo shoot for a mompreneur feature in the July issue of Tampa Bay Parenting Magazines which also featured a couple other inspiring boss moms. A piece titled: American Dreamers. When I was in high school, I ran a hustle (notice how I didn't say business?) where I would visit the homes of professionals (executives, principals and the likes) to perform clothing ironing services. Yep--I would roll through on the weekends and iron baskets of professional attire for these professional elites all the wile holding down my part-time retail job at the mall, maintaining my grades and taking part in school extracurricular activities. Milestone Manifesto: Fab Forty

What does forty feels like you ask? Well, I'm still a work in progress if that gives you any sense of perspective. But one thing is for certain--you don't always get to decide when it's time no matter how well planned or how many good intentions put forth. This milestone comes with some gains and losses. That's life, right? But with growth comes clarity. And with clarity comes purpose. That's what the last two years have been for me. Living in purpose. Knowing what and who is most important in life and living life to that accord has been the greatest feeling ever. Fab Eats: Red Pony . Franklin TN

So I had a recent trip to Nashville and with every trip there is always an opportunity to drop in to one of the local critically acclaimed restaurants. This time around, Red Pony in Franklin, Tennessee was my choice. The Zagat rated eatery is nestled on the main strip in  downtown Franklin. The culinary style reflects swanky Manhattan meets rustic European. Here's a snapshot of what you can find on the menu: collard green rockefeller, lobster and scallop, shrimp and grits, top notch creme brulee, Moscow mule (my favorite) and an array of other creative and fabulous options.
