Hey Beutities, On Saturday, November 14th I hosted a charity event to benefit local women and teen girls in the Tampa Bay Area. The concept came to fruition while doing a little closet purging recently. The plan is to simplify my life for 2016 and beyond by embracing a minimalist approach to just about everything. I figured what a great thing it would be to donate my gently-used goods to women and teens in need. So I packed up loads of stuff from my closet and boutique inventory, collected loads of stuff from my friends' closet and turned a rented venue into a closet for a day. It's no secret that camouflage print has been around forever. It is the official print of choice for the United States Army. But military custom aside---this natural contrast of tans, greens and blacks have made its way from the runways to the streets this past season. From dresses, to bags, or shirts---just name it, I bet you've seen it. Well, the wait is almost over. Balmain, the luxury French haute couture fashion house recently released their lookbook for their upcoming collaboration with budget retail giant H&M. The collection boast a variety of signature design elements like rope draping and metallic embellishment---known to the brand's aesthetic. The collection, available to both men and women will come with a price point between $59 upwards of $500---set to please the wallets of the everyday budget fashionista. Hey Beauties! On Saturday, September 19th many of you came out to my 2nd popup shop event. I want to say thank you to those who came out and supported-- you ladies and gents are awesome. A great portion of the proceeds goes towards my first annual charity event, Closet Treasures. A charity beautique event I created to offer a day of pampering, shopping, food and fun to local Bay Area women in need. More information to come on this charity event soon. So the iconic, queen of androgynous style, actress and singer Grace Jones released her new book today---where she shared about life, romance, pop culture, fashion and art. I can't tell you how long I've been a fan of the tell it like it is and Pull up to the Bumper Jamaican singer. When the word fearless comes to mind, certainly the name Grace Jones enters that same space.I've always admired her for being true to herself offering up zero apologies.
