Christian Fashion Week, a fashion movement driven by four principles through advocacy for change within both the Church and the fashion industry- presented its final fashion showcase on February 20th at The Vault in downtown Tampa, Florida. Through the C.A.R.E. initiatives---CFW tackles Contextual Modesty, Affordable, Sustainable Fashion, Responsible Use of Natural Resources,Ethical Hiring, and Casting, & Labor Practices. How is that for fashion with a cause? Eleven talented fashion designers showcased their designs to a packed house of fashion enthusiasts. Two color palettes you'll be sure to see much of this spring are scuba blue and lucite green---declared by Pantone, the world agency that sets global color forecasting and trends. Two fancy color terms for mint and turquoise right? Yes, I agree. But terminology aside---these two color palettes work seamlessly together. Add a splash of white and you'd be sure to bring in the spring just right. Complimentary to grey, white, coral, and yellow. I recently chatted with Nancy Ranalli, Creative Director and head of her brand Naje' Designs about the future of her fabulous jewelry line, the inspiration behind it and her love for uniqueness and individualism.
