Allusions by A. Lekay, a luxe vintage-inspired swimwear line celebrated its 1 year anniversary Saturday, May 10th in style; poolside at the exclusive Treasure Island Yatch Club. The event served up great entertainment that included a live band, performances by the talented Tampa Bay Synchrays, and a fabulous fashion show. The celebratory milestone for CEO and chief designer A. Lekay; whose dream of creating sexy, feminine and beach appropriate  swimwear for fashionistas wanting to modestly flaunt their curves while feeling confident comes on the heel of next week's showcase at Miami Fashion Week 2014. Overnight success? Not so much. What started as a dream, hard  work and determination blossomed into a brand that has achieved a great deal of success...

The Fashion Movement held its 2nd annual Eye on Fashion: A Stylist Competition on Saturday, May 3rd in Tampa, FL at The Vault. Four very talented Fashion Stylist competed in an event that I'd like to refer to as a one-of-a-kind. The competition, a platform for Wardrobe/Fashion Stylists to promote, market and establish their brands is certainly capturing the attention of many local and national fashion enthusiast; and rightfully so. The four Stylists competed for a grand prize of $550 and a spread in Revized Magazine.The Stylists presented various looks to an independent panel of judges who chose the winner based on the total scoring in various point categories. Tampa Bay METRO Magazine hosted its annual Summer with Style event at Neiman Marcus International Plaza---Thursday, May 1st. The event benefited the Children's Dream Fund, a charitable organization whose primary mission is to bring the dreams of seriously ill children to reality. Founded in 1981, the organization has been at the forefront of serving the Tampa Bay area community for more than 30 years...
